the Indian Railways to boost tourism in Rajasthan, and
has been getting highly appreciation since its launch.
It is rated as one of the top ten majestic train journeys
globally that offers you a heart-touching trip to the marvelous
forts and palaces of Rajasthan in just seven days.The idea
of the Palace on Wheels was derived from the royal background
of the erstwhile rulers of the princely states of Rajputana,
Gujarat, India.
The time duration of
this journey starts from every Wednesday evening at 1800
hrs from Delhi and terminates on the following Wednesday
early in the morning at 0730 hrs. During it, it covers
the gorgeous destinations Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh,
Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bahratpur, Agra and Delhi.
Palace on Wheels gives you
an opportunity to discover the incredible monuments of the
splendid land, India such as Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fathehp
ur Sikri; majestic Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Mehrangarh Fort,
Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana, Daulat
Khana and Amber Fort; wildlife at Ranthambore National Park
and Keolado Ghanna National Park.
Accommodation:
It has 14 saloons, 2 restaurants cum kitchen cars, one Bar
cum Lounge and 4 service Cars offering traditional Indian,
Continental and Chinese cuisine with the special dishes of
the day. Each coach has fully fledged air-conditioning with
twin beds wall-to-wall carpeting, air-conditioning, DTH satellite
television, intercom, attached toilets, hot and cold water,
with personal attendants. You will also see its interiors
that remonds the time of rulers- the antique the use of furniture,
handicrafts, painting and furnishings. Other than that, it
includes laundry services and Doctor on request facility.
For entertainment, it arranges
some music shows and puppet shows. It also arranges library
for book lovers. Moreover, you can find the facility of ATM
if required.

it has a bar that serves wine, liquor and spirits of Indian
and International to the tourist.
